I've got the book What Your Doctor May Not Tell You About Migraines - The Breakthrough Program That Can Help End Your Pain, by Dr. Alexander Mauskop. It's being a very interesting and exciting reading. I think it is a very enlightening reading material for anyone out there suffering from Migraine. And, I have read on many web sites about the three components (Magnesium, riboflavin - Vitamin B2, and feverfew) that Dr. Mauskop prescribes in his book. I'll learn more about this therapy (triple therapy as called by Dr. Mauskop) and, I intend to start with it soon.

However, before entering in details on the therapy or anything else, I'll start posting about Migraine itself, what is it, what are the known triggers and so on. Thus, everybody will also learn about this disabling disease.

See you around,

It passed already five years since I have started suffering from migraine. In the beginning, I did not even know that I had migraine. I thought it was just a hard headache, such as those my mother has. However, as it has become more frequent I decided to pay a visit to a doctor to inquiry what was going on. In this way, I found out I've got migraine. Unfortunately, I got no answers to questions such as, why have I got migraine? What exactly is migraine? Will I suffer from migraine for the rest of my life? Can I avoid migraine attacks? How to treat it? And so on.
Then, I got a prescription for a pill I had to take whenever I feel an attack is approaching.
Years passed; the attacks become more frequent; the medicine did not help any longer and, I have not got any answer yet.
Suddenly, I saw myself in despair, trying anything people would tell me in order to "cure" migraine or relief its pain. Despair, more despair and more despair. No light at the end of the tunnel. only despair and, of course, more migraine attacks. I was on the way to give up hope completely.

However, before giving up hope. I decided to research and learn what is migraine and how can I control it and eventually get rid of it.

This blog aims at publishing the results of my research and to help other people better undersand what is migraine and maybe not to suffer as much as I have suffered up till now.

cheers,
